I have this winch in my cruiser, first use come across a transit van on 4wd drive track where it should not have been. It got stuck, this winch pulled the van out which was not budging prior. It’s given me the confidence after seeing it pull this van out it will pull both my cruiser and van out if I’m ever in the need.
This winch is proof aussie is still built tough!

Too soon to tell, have not used it yet.

My standard Sherpa 17,000 Ilb winch came with a 10mm rope and I upgraded later to the 12mm - just because the 10mm looked so weedy pulling my 6tonne truck...now it feels proper good with 12mm. Easy to change too!

We recently installed one under the bonnet of one of our tow vehicles, N70 Hilux. We did have to remove a few parts off it and mount the solenoid on a seperate bracket, however fit snug. The physical amount of air this thing moved whilst creating the minimal amount of heat was impressive. We commonly did 6 tyres off the beach, and would still be helping mates while they used old school compressors. Air tools, not a problem, just such a diverse unit. We will incorporate another unit in our next work truck for sure!!

I own a company that pulls cars out of the sand on Daytona Beach in Florida. My trucks ONLY have Sherpa Stallion winches on them. I have owned Warn and Smittybilt. they don't hold a candle to the Stallion. I am in situations where I have to pull a very large heavy Dually, like a Ford F350 that is stuck to it's rails in the sand. The Sherpa can pull the darn thing sideways!
If you want to have the best winch, that can handle the elements. Sherpa is it. they are the OG! I have mine on the beach in salt weather every day and they outlast any competitor hands down.

Sherpa products are simply superior to all other recovery products. I have used the snatch block on multiple occasions with my synthetic winch line. It works seamlessly. I have used many different snatch/Pulley blocks before. The sherpa product is smooth in operation and holds the synthetic line even when there is slack in the line. I would recommend it over any others I have used.

I have only used this winch once but boy is it powerful took less than a minute to winch up my 6.5M heavy boat. Everything about this winch oozes strength and class. If your sitting on the fence because of price just buy it you wont regret it at all. Quality cost's money but in the end it saves you money heartache and headaches. Now just have to get the boat motor sorted.

Extremely happy with the ease of fitment of this unit as it’s quite neat and tidy when installed.
I found some trouble with remote control and found if reciever is left plugged in, it won’t work even after “re-pairing, but if removed and plugged back in it functions fine.
If I need to remove plug from receiver after each use, is there a “cover” available to protect the receiver plug from allowing rubbish entering as per the cover on the winch body ?
