Sherpa 4x4 Recovery Hitch

SWHRGY

Sherpa recovery hitches are a safer alternative to use for vehicle recoveries when compared to using your tow ball. These are a highly recommended accessory for anyone going offroad.

  • The Sherpa hitches are designed to fit common 2", 50 x 50mm vehicle receivers and offer a far safer fixing point over other commonly used options. Tow balls are not designed for snatch style recoveries and are known to break and turn into projectiles. Another common error is using the vehicles shipping tie down points as recovery points, these are not rated and can easily fail.

The Sherpa tow hitch has not only been computer stress modelled, it has also had full destructive testing to ensure a safer design users can rely on. The units are manufactured from strong 6061 aluminium and are finished with a hard anodizing top coat which helps to delivery greater wear resistance.

The hitch is designed with a large recovery eye and has a smooth radius meaning it can be used with both steel D shackles or soft rope shackles.

    • Lightweight precision CNC machined 6000 series aluminium
    • Rated at 4,500kg, tested in excess of 20,000kg
    • Fits standard 2" receivers
    • Designed to work with soft shackles
    • Mil-A-8625 F Hard Anodized Surface

Never exceed factory receiver hitch pull rating. Always use a quality steel alloy 5/8” hitch pin. Always pull in line with the hitch, do not bind or side load the shackle

recovery hitch - tough!

Got rear ended driving to work and this punched through their front bumper and radiator. Didn't even leave a scratch on the surface of the hitch.
