Sherpa 4x4 Recovery Soft Shackles provide a lightweight, high-strength alternative to traditional steel shackles for 4WD recovery applications. Flexible, easy to handle and corrosion resistant, they're a practical addition to any off-road recovery kit.
Manufactured from high-quality synthetic rope, Sherpa Soft Shackles deliver exceptional strength without the weight and bulk of conventional steel recovery hardware. The 10mm (3/8") model is manufactured from genuine USA Spectra® fibre and has a Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) of 15,900kg (35,000lb).
Soft shackles are significantly lighter than traditional steel shackles, won't rust and float in water, making them particularly useful for off-road, beach and water-crossing recoveries.
Their low mass also reduces the amount of heavy metal hardware within the recovery system, while their compact size makes them easy to store in a vehicle or recovery kit.
Sherpa Soft Shackles are simple to connect and remove, with no pins or threads to tighten. Their flexible construction makes them easy to handle and helps prevent binding under load, allowing the shackle to be removed easily after a recovery.
Compact and lightweight, they're also easy to keep close at hand when setting up recovery equipment.
Unlike rigid steel hardware, a soft shackle can conform around a wide range of suitable rated recovery points and connection arrangements. The generous loop design provides additional flexibility when connecting recovery ropes, winch ropes and other compatible recovery equipment.
Each Sherpa Soft Shackle features a heavy-duty protective sleeve designed to help reduce abrasion and chafing at contact points. This provides additional protection to the synthetic fibres and helps extend service life in demanding recovery applications.
Each shackle is also clearly labelled with its Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) for easy identification.
