The Sherpa 4x4 Winch Safety Damper is an essential addition to any vehicle recovery kit. Designed for use during winching operations, the weighted blanket is positioned over the winch line to help reduce uncontrolled movement in the event of a line or connection failure.
Manufactured from heavy-duty PVC, the Sherpa Winch Damper is designed to withstand the wet, muddy and demanding conditions commonly encountered during 4WD recoveries. High-visibility reflective strips on both sides improve visibility during roadside, low-light and night-time recoveries.
The heavy-duty Velcro closure helps secure the damper around the winch line and allows it to be quickly positioned or repositioned during a recovery.
Winch dampers are particularly important when using steel winch cable and should form part of safe winching practices with both steel cable and synthetic rope.
