Recovery Hitch, Slider & Step – All in One

The Sherpa Alloy Hitch Receiver Slider with Step is designed for more than vehicle recovery. Its integrated slider provides additional rear protection when tackling steep departures, ruts and uneven terrain, while the built-in step provides easier access to roof racks, canopies and the rear of your vehicle.

When recovery is required, the large smooth recovery opening provides a purpose-designed connection point suitable for both soft and traditional rated shackles.

Using the correct recovery equipment is critical. Tow balls should never be used for snatch-style recoveries, as they are not designed for recovery loads and can become dangerous projectiles if they fail. Vehicle shipping or tie-down points should also never be assumed to be rated recovery points.

Sherpa Alloy Hitch / Slider / Step Features

Precision CNC machined from strong 6061-T6 aluminium, the Sherpa hitch combines serious strength with relatively low weight. A durable anodised finish provides additional wear and corrosion resistance for demanding off-road conditions.

Sherpa 10mm Recovery Soft Shackle

The included Sherpa 10mm (3/8") Soft Shackle provides a lightweight, high-strength alternative to conventional steel shackles.

Manufactured from genuine USA Spectra® fibre, it delivers an impressive 15,900kg (35,000lb) Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) while remaining flexible, compact and easy to handle.

Unlike steel recovery hardware, the soft shackle won't rust and floats in water, making it particularly useful for off-road, beach, mud and water-crossing recoveries.

A heavy-duty protective sleeve helps reduce abrasion and chafing at contact points, helping protect the synthetic fibres during demanding recovery applications.

Soft Shackle Features

  • Genuine USA Spectra® synthetic fibre
  • 10mm (3/8") rope diameter
  • 15,900kg (35,000lb) Minimum Breaking Strength

Important Safety Information

Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's receiver hitch or recovery-point rating. The overall recovery system is limited by its lowest-rated component.

Always use a quality 5/8" steel hitch pin suitable for the application.

Recovery loads must be applied in line with the receiver hitch. Do not side-load, bind or apply angular loads to the hitch or shackle.

Always inspect the hitch, soft shackle and all recovery equipment before use. Do not use equipment showing signs of excessive wear, abrasion, cuts, deformation or damage.

Never use a tow ball or unverified vehicle tie-down point as a recovery point.
