Why Inflate Four Tyres at Once?

Anyone who regularly airs down knows the routine.

Dropping tyre pressures can make a substantial difference when driving on sand, corrugations and challenging off-road terrain. But once you're ready to return to the road, those tyres need to come back up.

Traditional portable compressor setups generally require you to inflate one tyre at a time. Even with a fast compressor, you're still moving around the vehicle, swapping the hose between tyres and checking pressures along the way.

Quad-Air is designed to remove that hassle.

Four individual 7m rubber air hoses connect the BIG V4 to all four tyres. Air hose splitters distribute the compressor's high-volume airflow through the system, while individual non-return valve/tyre inflation adaptors help manage airflow at each tyre.

Actual inflation times will naturally vary with tyre size and construction, starting and finishing pressure, electrical supply, ambient temperature and other operating conditions.

High airflow is only part of the story.

The BIG V4 also incorporates pre-set pressure control, with a selectable pressure range from 3–150 PSI.

Instead of repeatedly checking a gauge while inflating, you can select your target pressure directly at the compressor.

Quad-Air isn't limited to conventional 4WDs.

The combination of four 7m hoses, high-volume airflow and 12V and 24V configurations makes the system suitable for a wide range of larger vehicles and touring setups.

That includes heavily modified 4WDs, expedition vehicles, trucks and other vehicles where tyre size and vehicle length can make conventional portable compressor setups inconvenient.

Designed for Australian Off-Road Conditions

Producing serious airflow requires serious electrical and thermal management.

The BIG V4 uses substantial cooling fans and heat-dissipating cylinder fins to help manage temperature during demanding inflation jobs. The compressor also incorporates thermal overload and over-pressure protection.

Heavy-duty 2.2m 5AWG power cables help minimise voltage drop under load, while the compressor and Quad-Air accessories pack into the supplied heavy-duty carry bag when the job is finished.

It's a system intended to live in the vehicle and be ready when tyre pressures need to change.

An Important Note About Power Supply

The BIG V4 is a high-current compressor, and correct electrical supply is essential.

IMPORTANT: THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE MUST BE RUNNING DURING COMPRESSOR OPERATION.

The BIG V4 must be operated with the vehicle battery being actively charged by the vehicle's alternator. Do not operate the compressor from a stand-alone battery that is not being charged. Excessive voltage drop may damage the compressor or electrical components and may void the warranty.

For 24V installations using the supplied 24V-to-13.8V DC/DC converter, the vehicle engine must also remain running while the compressor is operating.
