PWM Solar Charging
PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) solar controllers regulate the connection between the solar array and battery to provide controlled battery charging.
This Enerdrive controller provides a practical solution for compatible systems where straightforward, reliable solar battery maintenance is required.
Solar Panel Compatibility
Important: Solar panels must be configured so the array remains within the controller's voltage and current limitations.
Enerdrive specifies a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 20VOC when used on a 12V system and 50VOC when used on a 24V system. Maximum charge current is 30A.
Always check the open-circuit voltage (VOC), operating voltage, current and configuration of your solar panels before connecting them to the controller.
Installation
Correct cable sizing, circuit protection and installation practices are important for reliable solar system operation. The controller accepts cable sizes up to 16mm² / 6AWG.
Install the controller in a suitable dry and ventilated location and follow Enerdrive's installation and operating instructions. The controller has an IP30 enclosure rating and should not be installed where it will be exposed to water or weather.
