Rated Recovery Hitch + 15,900kg MBS Soft Shackle
Upgrade your 4WD recovery setup with a strong, lightweight and purpose-designed connection point. The Sherpa 4x4 Alloy Recovery Hitch & Soft Shackle Bundle combines our CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium recovery hitch with a high-strength 10mm Sherpa Soft Shackle, giving you a simple and compatible recovery connection for vehicles fitted with a standard 50mm / 2" receiver.
The recovery hitch features a large, smooth connection hole specifically suited to soft shackles, helping minimise abrasion and wear on the synthetic fibres. Paired with the 15,900kg Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS) Sherpa Soft Shackle, it's a practical addition to any 4WD recovery kit.
Using the correct recovery equipment is critical during vehicle recovery. Tow balls should never be used for snatch-style recoveries, as they are not designed for recovery loads and failure can result in dangerous projectiles. Vehicle transport or shipping tie-down points should also not be assumed to be rated recovery points.
The Sherpa Recovery Hitch provides a dedicated connection point through a compatible rated 50mm / 2" receiver, while the soft shackle eliminates the need for a traditional steel bow shackle between your recovery rope and hitch.
Together, they provide a lightweight, easy-to-use recovery connection designed specifically for 4WD applications.
Precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, the Sherpa Recovery Hitch combines excellent strength with significantly less weight than traditional steel recovery hardware.
A durable anodised finish provides additional wear and corrosion resistance, while the large, smooth recovery hole is designed for direct connection with synthetic soft shackles.

Sherpa 4x4 Recovery Soft Shackles provide a lightweight, high-strength alternative to conventional steel shackles.

Unlike steel hardware, the soft shackle won't rust and floats in water, making it ideal for off-road, beach, mud and water-crossing recoveries.
A heavy-duty protective sleeve helps reduce abrasion and chafing at contact points, protecting the synthetic fibres during demanding recovery applications.

The recovery hitch and soft shackle have been selected to work together. Simply install the recovery hitch into a compatible 50mm / 2" receiver using a suitable hitch pin and connect the soft shackle through the hitch's smooth recovery opening.
The result is a strong, compact recovery connection without the unnecessary weight and bulk of traditional steel recovery hardware.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's receiver hitch or recovery-point rating. The overall recovery system is only as strong as its lowest-rated component.
Always use a quality 5/8" steel hitch pin suitable for the application.
Recovery loads must be applied in line with the receiver hitch. Do not side-load, bind or apply angular loads to the recovery hitch or soft shackle.
Always inspect the hitch, soft shackle and all recovery equipment before use. Do not use equipment showing signs of excessive wear, abrasion, cuts, deformation or damage.
Never use a tow ball or unverified vehicle tie-down point as a recovery point.
