Note, due to small changes in winch design over the years, we prefer customers measure the length of their existing hex shaft and cut the replacement hex shaft to match rather then ask Sherpa what length they will need. This will avoid possible errors.

A good trick is to remove the winch drum and reassemble the winch, this allows visual checks of the hex shaft which is normally hidden inside the winch drum. Users can check for lateral movement and ensure the hex shaft can not separate from the motor coupling.
