I have two of these now. They work well and are better built than others. The only gripe I have is that neither of them freewheel out when disengaged. Rope is extremely hard to pull out. Hopefully this improves with use.

I haven't used them yet but the products arrived on time and the all look perfect. Quality and carry bags looked perfect hopefully I won't need to use them.

The Colt with synthetic rope is in the Pajero's TJM bull bar. It performed amazingly on a multi car club trip around the WA Goldfields after thunderstorm deluge. Tracks were mud bogs and the Colt Pajero combo pulled Landcruisers and Prados out of bogs! Not sure if the Paj is built for that duty but the winch was reliably up to the task.

Use the wireless remote most of the time. Keep a spare 9 volt battery is the key.

I've had the Grunter on for over 2 years now. Beach launching a 6.1m boat with an inboard V8. I've winched that thing up dry with no problems at all.

I use this on a 626 cruise craft, easily hands this size boat
Now that I had it for couple of years my only issue is there is no maintenance points so other that regular use no way to maintain the unit!
